Association Management

The Southeast Michigan Chapter of the National Association for the Remodeling Industry was started only a little more than five years ago, but has grown to a membership of over 60 firms.  With a geographic footprint of the southeast quarter of the state, the potential for growth is tremendous.

LMK Consulting began assisting this dynamic group as Executive Director in Fall 2009.  Working together, NARI has now implemented several key tools to facilitate growth:

• Strategic plan focusing on three goals: membership growth, financial stability and excellence in programming
• Committee structure that organizes actions to deliver the strategic goals
  Management software that automates communications, event registration and membership information
• LMK Consulting continues to assist this group with administrative tasks, strategic initiatives, communications and integrating business leadership best practices.

We hired Leslie as our part-time Executive Director in August 2009. Within weeks, she had systems in place to organize our board, committees, and activities. She has energized our chapter and has found ways to both educate our volunteers and hold them accountable. She has also implemented an online software package for organizations that maintains the member database, allows online registration for events, and allows us to send out email notices to members. As she has found other ways to improve our chapter she has recommended associates to help move us forward.  We look forward to a long, mutually-beneficial relationship with Leslie.
