Project Specific Communications
Having worked in the engineering / construction field for 20 years,
LMK Consulting brings considerable experience in melding technical
aspects of project implementation with softer aspects of communications.
LMK has developed and facilitated public education and involvement
programs for a variety of projects – facility sitings, hazardous
waste clean-ups, roadway improvements, and infrastructure planning
initiatives. These proactive programs disarm public opposition that

the technical milestones of a project. This coordinated project and
communications strategy facilitates stakeholder buy-in and avoids
delays in the schedule.
The Liberty Street reconstruction
project in Ann Arbor was a large, complex road demolition and reconstruction
project that had a major impact on the community. As the team's public
process consultant, Leslie made an invaluable contribution to the
successful completion of this project. She guided and greatly facilitated
the numerous public meetings ensuring productive communication and
understanding among all the parties involved.
